Hopefully fixed incorrect colors on top and  bottom for VM3575 and VM6586.

2002-08-22

Fixed color plane shifts for the VM6586. Only 50, 150, 300 and 600 dpi are supported.

The VM6586 behaves much like the VM3575 in regard with the color shifts.

2002-08-11
Fixed a stupid crash when scanning in BW and Gray. Fixed a couple more buglets.

2002-08-07
Final support for the VM6575. One more working resolution for the VM3575.
    teco2.c  teco2.h teco2.conf

2002-07-27
Added raw_output variable to get a raw output from the scanner.

Better support for VM6575

2002-07-24
Full support for the VM656A.
Preliminary support (untested) for the VM6575.

2002-06-13
Better support for the  VM6586 (I think).

May be some color fixes. The wrong color lines at the top and the bottom should have disappeared.

Calibration fixes for the VM6586. teco2.c teco2.h

2002-04-04
Added (untested) support for the TECO VM6586 (which was sold under the names Relisys Scorpio Pro-S and Primax Profi 19200).
Status:
    - black and white ok
    - gray produces some wrong colors depending on the color filter used.
    - color in 100dpi looks mostly okay, with the exeption than the first few lines are wrong. Other resolution have some color skewing.
    - gamma table implemented, not tested

This new teco2.c (apply on top of sane-teco2-20020330.diff.gz) seems to fix the scsi crashes (so probably also the preview mode crashes). Color mode only works correctly in 100 dpi.

Current status:
    - black and white ok
    - gray produces some wrong colors; this might be due to the color filter
    - color looks mostly okay, with the exeption than the first few lines are wrong
    - no more black vertical lines, which means than the calibration is mostly correct
    - gamma table implemented, not tested
    - color filter for black&white and grayscale modes, not tested
    - still (?) some linux crashes in preview mode.

First scan success report from Gerard Klaver (http://gkall.hobby.nl/notes1.html ).

2002-03-21
Got some traces from Mark Plowman. Started the new backend.
Apply the patch against SANE 1.0.7. It is totaly untested right now. In theory it should work; but in reality the scanner might not even be detected.
If the scanner is not detected, try to start the backend with something like xscanimage teco2:/dev/scanner
If it does not work or does something strange, set the variable SANE_DEBUG_TECO2 to 128 and send me a report. Also send any usefull information.
And keep a finger on the power switch.

current status:
  - UNTESTED
  - B&W, Grayscale and Color mode are implemented
